OUR SYSTEM IS NOT BROKEN....It works perfectly

Breaking the Cycle: Is There More to Life Than the System?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed as a parent when it comes to school? Maybe you’ve questioned why the system feels so rigid, so repetitive—almost as if it was designed to keep us in place rather than push us forward. That’s because, in many ways, it was.

The traditional school system wasn’t built to nurture creativity or independent thought. It was designed to prepare us for the workforce, to shape us into disciplined, compliant workers who follow schedules and meet expectations. It’s not a broken system—it’s a perfectly functioning one, just not in our favor.

Think about it. We go to school, grow up, get a job, have kids, send them to school, and the cycle continues. Generation after generation, the pattern remains the same. But at what point do we stop and ask ourselves: Is this it? Is this all that life has to offer?

The answer is no.

Life is so much more than just following the script that has been handed to us. It’s about breaking free from what we’ve been told is “normal” and redefining success on our own terms. Some choose entrepreneurship. Others seek alternative education paths for their children. Some simply shift their mindset, choosing to live with intention rather than obligation. Which is what I'm currently working through.

So if you’ve ever felt that pull—the quiet whisper telling you there’s more—you’re not alone. The question is, what does that “more” look like for you? And how will you step outside the cycle to find it?

Maybe it starts with a single thought: What if life could be different?
